My name is Matthew Domville and I am an international swimmer, I started to swim for Warriors Of Warrington swimming club when I was 13 years old and have loved it ever since. On a daily bases i train up to 5 hours a day and around 23 hours a week which can be a real challenge. This includes gym sessions lifting heavy weights to improve my strength in the pool. We do a wide range of exercises which includes mainly core, legs and upperbody movments like bench press, shoulder press and upper back work.
During the middle of the day I have quite a lot of free time. This gives me opportunites and chances to work on other skills like computer programming. During the day I also like to have naps and play video games which help keep me occupied when Im not training.
Ive studied sport and digital media at college since i left school and im currently taking a gap year so i can give 100% to my swimming. The window of opportunity to be the best is small and if you don't take a risk in life you will achieve nothing.
